Tips

[Tip]: Try to upgrade all of your programs to at least v2.0 - most get a huge jump in usefulness, and the cost from 1.0 to 2.0 is minimal.

[Tip]: The more Control Towers you reprogram, the more research Dr. Sepulveda will perform - and the better your programs, weapons, and commands will get. Try to reprogram all Control Towers in a level, even if you don't otherwise need to venture to that particular area.

[Tip]: Remember your Engineers can fly over any terrain, including water - often you can go around a group of enemies to reprogram a Control Tower instead of ploughing through them.

[Tip]: Remember that squads can swim, although slowly. This comes in handy in attacking the Yard.

[Tip]: Up to 3 Engineers can be used to reprogram a Control Tower much faster, such as when there are enemies nearby and it has to be done fast. You can also use up to 4 Engineers to accelerate the downloading of a Research Cube.

[Tip]: Radar Dishes are not limited to how many other dishes can aim at it, it is possible to aim two or more dishes at one as long as the angle is right enough that it is at least somewhat aimed at them, this is great for having multiple islands of which you want to send units from over to the target island.

[Tip]: Darwinians against Darwinians can be a quick and painful battle if there are grenades used, in the case of an uphill battle it is wise to use Squads on the front lines until your Darwinians gain some high ground, because if your little green friends use their own grenade when uphill it can hardly move, making a complete mess of your battle.

[Tip]: Squads are very useful, however it can be unwise to have multiple squads in one area in hopes to kill an overwhelming number of enemies, as you cannot control multitple squads at the same time. It is wiser to have one near by (and out of harm's way) so that when the squad dies you can quickly get back into the action again. However, placing two squads in parallel with space between them can be useful for dealing with flying enemies and/or protecting each other from virii.
